We are surrounded by toxins of all sorts on a daily basis. There is no where on the planet today that is totally free from some sort of pollution.

For our bodies and health to thrive it is important to do all we can to reduce the amount of toxins we come in touch with and reduce the toxic load on our bodies by doing regular detoxes.  

There are many types of detox and it’s finding ones that work for you and your life circumstances.

However there are a few things to do to reduce the toxic impact on our bodies and are the first stage of nearly every detox.  (I’m sure you are aware already doing many of these.)

  1. Reduce, preferably remove all processed sugars from your diet.

  2. Do not use any artificial sweetners.

  3. Reduce carbohydrates such as wheat, soya and corn.

  4. Do not eat processed foods

  5. Do not eat foods from GMO

  6. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit.

  7. Eat organic and locally sourced food as much as possible that is vine ripened.  

  8. Only use natural cleaning products.

  9. Only use natural and organic skin care products and make-up.

  10. Filter drinking water.

  11. Do not use water from plastic bottles.

  12. Use wired rather than wireless technology where possible and turn off when not needed.

  13. Do not sleep with cell phones or other devices with WIFI on.

  14. Do not hold your cell phone close to your head, use the speaker or plug in headphones.

  15. Spend as much time as possible out in nature.

  16. Drink herbal teas such as dandelion root, pine needle or fennel tea, detox tea.

  17. Regular movement of your body. At least 30 minutes a day minimum of walking, yoga, stretching, dancing etc.

  18. Relaxation daily routine.

  19. Epson salt baths or footspa.

  20. Belly breathing and regular deep breaths.

  21. Regular bowel movements.

  22. Have joy and laughter.

Detox tea recipe

1 litre of filtered water
1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
1 teaspoon of coriander seeds
1 teaspoon of fennel seeds

Bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Make sure to also drink plenty of water throughout the day

Melon Cleanse

21 day Melon ‘detox’ cleanse.
